After finishing up Hebrews in my Bible study time, I felt a bit directionless. I skipped around a bit but finally ended up just turning the page and reading James.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5 ESV
I realized that I’m hungry for the wisdom that God gives. Life can be crazy some days and I really don’t want to face it without His kind of wisdom.
So over to Proverbs I went and now I’m taking my time just soaking in the writings of Solomon (the wisest man ever).
I’ll let you know how it goes (with marriage applications following).
To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight, to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity; to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth — Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance, to understand a proverb and a saying, the words of the wise and their riddles. Proverbs 1:2-6 ESV
