My sweetie and I are adding onto our RV. When we’re finished it should look like a cabin with both RV/battery/solar and regular/electrical systems (which is really nice when you live out past the boonies).
Well, there are at least a bazillion choices to make each day. Does the dryer go by the door or in the corner? Maybe we should put the pellet stove over there and go with this other size of window. And on and on.
Did I mention Paul and I are very different people with very different tastes?
Love makes room for those differences and seeks to serve.
When something is really important to Paul, I lean into his preference. When it’s something more important to me, we work in my preference. We’re trying to listen to each other and care about what is important to the other.
It is a dance of love.
Ask your sweetie to dance. 🙂
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
