England openers Rory Burns and Dom Sibley are out in the middle as the hosts have a mighty task in their hands. The English pair maintained a cautious approach and added 23/0 before the umpires signalled for Tea and are still trailing by 341 runs. However, right after the interval, Mohammed Siraj inflicted a double blow on the hosts as he removed Sibley and Haseeb Hameed in consecutive deliveries to reduce England to 24/2.

Rahul scored 129 off 250 deliveries, which included 12 fours and one six, while Rohit added 83. Both the batsmen was dismissed by James Anderson, who ended the innings with a five-wicket haul.
After starting Day 2 from the overnight score of 276/3, with both Rahul and Ajinkya Rahane in the middle, India were rattled in the first two overs. Ollie Robinson provided England with the ideal start as the pacer removes Rahul in the first over.
Meanwhile, veteran pacer Anderson removed Rahane from the middle, after the right-handed batsman edged a ball straight to Joe Root at slips. The batsman departed for 1.
However, India recovered as Rishabh Pant along with Ravindra Jadeja added 49 runs for the sixth wicket, before the wicketkeeper-batsman was removed by Mark Wood on 37.
Jadeja, who was the last Indian batsman to be dismissed, helped India finish 346/7 at Lunch.
Jaeja then with Ishant Sharma helped India edge past the 350-run mark, following which, Anderson quickly wrapped up the Indian tail.
