TTD chief opens casualty ward, O2 plant at SVIMS | Vijayawada News

Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman YV Subba Reddy inaugurated a state-of-the-art casualty ward and a pressure swing absorption (PSA) oxygen plant at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) on Thursday.
He said TTD has spent Rs 4.2 crore for the casualty ward at the emergency medicine department. “While Rs 1.2 crore was spent towards the execution of civil, engineering and air conditioning works, Rs 3 crore was spent for procuring various life saving equipment from Sri Venkateswara Pranadana Trust funds,” the TTD chairman added.
Later Subba Reddy inaugurated a PSA medical oxygen plant at SVIMS premises. The plant was commissioned with the help of donations received from ACT Grants, Bengaluru.
The TTD chairman said the process of takeover of the administrative control of SVIMS from the state government will be expedited.
